What is a construction administrator?

Construction managers are responsible for the operational and administrative aspects of construction projects. As a construction manager, areas of responsibility include contract review, invoice processing, document management, project planning, personnel supervision, and customer support.

They usually work in field offices and continuously monitor current projects or company offices. To work as a construction manager, you must have a bachelor’s degree in construction management or construction science, strong organizational skills, and 2-3 years of experience in the construction industry. The Norwegian Building Standards Institute offers voluntary professional certification.

Responsibilities

  • prepare records;
  • Building Board;
  • HSE and environmental management;
  • Send relevant information to the project manager.
  • Request for quotation or material order;
  • store image management;
  • Sign off on plans or projects;
  • monthly payments and invoices;
  • Invoicing and price measurement
  • Prepare and issue urgent work requests; close the project; and save.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, DAC or EAC (relevant experience may increase educational requirements);
  • Mastery of office suite programs;
  • Ability to work in AutoCad program;
  • Open, willing to learn and able to work together.
