Description

Atlantic Roll Forming is seeking a qualified, detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team. As a bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining our financial records and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

You will work closely with our accounting team to analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a good understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Responsibility

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledgers.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions regularly.
  • Preparation and processing of invoices, expense reports, and salary data.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting principles and rules.
  • Prepare and submit the necessary tax forms and tax returns.
  • Assist with financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
  • Work with the accounting team to establish and implement financial procedures and controls.
  • Assists with budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in accounting rules.

Requirements

  • Documented experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar position.
  • Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
  • Good understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial data and generate reports.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
  • Professional certification in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.
